In the ForumsIn the market to purchase a Reformer? Then this is essential reading!Rob writes: I have been practicing the mat exercises now for about eight months and am now looking to buy a reformer. Everyone on this forum seems to be very knowledgeable and very honest about their experiences, so I would really appreciate any advice. It seems that Peak and Gratz are the most talked about but I was also looking at Stott and Balanced Body. I imagine that they are all reasonably high quality, especially in their studio models. But does anyone have any experience on the home oriented models like the new new IQ model by Balanced Body, for example. It looks like a good idea but I am concerned that the extendable rail approach might have some inherent design weakness and not give a very smooth ride over time. My main interest is in any guidance that you all may have that would help differentiate among the four major companies and the most popular models. I know that many people on this forum have purchased one brand or another and I would like any comments as to what caused you to make the final decision for that brand and model. This will be a major purchase for me and I want to make the best decision possible. Maybe this topic could even become a good summary of advice that would help many new advocates understand the real value of the models over the marketing hype. Thanks in advance for your help.
