Viva Pilates in lovely Huntington Harbor is offering classes for instructors every Monday at 2PM and Thursday at 1:30PM. Instructors alternate teaching with taking class. It's a great way to learn new moves, meet new people and earn some extra cash. For more information call: Kathryn at 714-840-1790 or email at: Info@vivapilates.com.
Just wondering whether anyone had any further information on why the classical exercise order is as it is?
I realise it working through through planes of movement, flexion, extension etc etc but why did Joseph Pilates put the exercises in the order it is??
I assume he must have had some kind of theory that they should be put together like this??
Sorry... I am like a 4 year old child and always like to question why......even if there is no answer.
I have many trusted friends/colleagues. I own a Gratz reformer and love it. I want to buy more equipment. Half of my friends say stay with Gratz. The other half say Basil's stuff is awesome. What's the difference? Quality? Added features? I need some guidance, please. :-)
This is my first post although I have been lurking for quite some time. It is an invaluable site and has helped me enormously when i have questions, need clarification or just sometimes need a good reminder of why we do what we do (always needed after a bad day!), so thank you all for sharing your knowledge.
I have a small studio with a few clients and am thinking ahead to Xmas for small gifts ideas? I am thinking of getting a selection of tote bags made made up with the studio name etc on it and giving it to each of the clients (gift and advertising all in one) but i was trying to think of odds and ends to put in it?
Does anyone have any Pilates inspired ideas for putting in?
